Galaxy A53 5G gets June 2024 security update in the US

Yesterday, Samsung released the June 2024 security patch for the Galaxy A53 5G. However, the company had made it available only for the variant of the smartphone that it sells in Europe, which carries the model number SM-A536B. Now, Samsung has made the June 2024 security patch available to the carrier-locked variant or the Galaxy A53 5G for the United States, which has the model number SM-A536U.

The June 2024 security patch brings fixes for 59 security vulnerabilities. The software update that brings it to the carrier-locked variant of the Galaxy A53 5G for the US changes the phone’s firmware version to A536USQSAEXF2.

How to get the latest software update on Galaxy A53 5G?

You can check for software updates on Samsung smartphones and tablets by going to Settings » Software update » Download and install. We’ve made the new firmware available in our database. You can download it from our firmware section and install it manually using Odin. The next major update for the Galaxy A53 5G will come out later this year. It will bring Android 15-based One UI 7.0 to the device.
