Samsung has started rolling out a new software update for the international variant of the Galaxy A36, beginning in Vietnam. The update brings the March 2026 security patch, which fixes 65 security vulnerabilities found in the previous version of the OS. It carries firmware version A366BXXS8BZC2.
A few days ago, Samsung released the March 2026 security patch for the Korean variant of the Galaxy A36, making it the first version of the phone to get it. The brand is now likely expanding the rollout to the international variant in other markets as well, with the remaining variants expected to get it over the next few days.
To check whether the March 2026 security patch is available for your Galaxy A36, open Settings, scroll down, tap Software update, then select Download and install. If an update is available, your phone will display it. Simply tap Install now to begin the installation.
As for major software updates, Samsung is expected to begin rolling out the stable version of One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2) to eligible Galaxy smartphones in the coming weeks, and the Galaxy A36 is among the devices set to receive it. The update is expected to introduce a new UI along with several new features, which you can check out in our video below.
