We may be getting very close to the Galaxy A35's debut. The upcoming mid-range phone from Samsung keeps cropping up online in one way or another, and in the latest news, the phone emerged in the database of Thailand's regulatory body NBTC (National Broadcasting and Telecommunication Commission).

The agency confirms that the Galaxy A35 5G carries model number SM-A356, or in this particular case, SM-A356E/DS. The letter “E” means this variant is destined for countries in Asia and Africa, and “DS” means the phone has dual-SIM capabilities.

Thailand's NBTC also confirms that the Galaxy A35 has GSM/WCDMA/LTE/NR capabilities, but that about wraps it up. No other significant details were revealed by the application, but technically speaking, the Galaxy A35 is now ready to go on sale in Thailand, as far as the nation's regulatory agency is concerned.

What else can we expect from the Galaxy A35?

Based on previous leaks and rumors, the Galaxy A35 should be powered by the Exynos 1380 chip and run Android 14. There were rumors of an Exynos 1480 SoC, but the Galaxy A35, powered by the 1380 solution, was spotted in an online benchmark later on.

The Galaxy A35 may feature a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED FHD+ display with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, a 5,000mAh battery with 25W charging, and a 50MP primary camera assisted by an 8MP ultra-wide shooter and a 5MP macro sensor.

Interestingly, we also found out recently that the Galaxy A35 officially has a slightly improved repairability score than the Galaxy A34. And the same is true for the upcoming Galaxy A55, which should accompany the A35 onto the market.

When will the Galaxy A35 (and A55) go on sale? Samsung hasn't revealed this detail yet, but if these Galaxy A phones follow their predecessors on a 12-month launch schedule, they should be announced in March.

Samsung Galaxy A35 review: The reasonable choice

The Galaxy A54 was Samsung's most exciting mid-range phone last year, but it was the Galaxy A34 that ended up being the sensible choice, at least as far as value for money was concerned. The A34 was also more optimized despite having a less capable chip than the Galaxy A54. The A54's performance issues were […]
