Samsung has released a new security update to the Galaxy A33 5G in some countries. Although we are well into the month of April 2023, the South Korean firm has now started rolling out the March 2023 security update that fixes some of the serious security flaws discovered in Galaxy smartphones and tablets with Exynos processors.

Galaxy A33 5G gets March 2023 security update in Europe

The latest software update for the Galaxy A33 5G comes with firmware version A336BXXS5CWC2. The update, which is currently rolling out in Europe, brings the March 2023 security patch that fixes over 50 security flaws. Some of those flaws are related to ones that were discovered a few weeks ago in smartphones equipped with Exynos processors/modems.

Samsung has confirmed that the remaining serious security flaws that haven't been patched with the March 2023 update will be fixed with the April 2023 security update that has already been released to the Galaxy S23 series in South Korea. And the same could be true for the Galaxy A33 5G.

If you have a Galaxy A33 5G and if you live in Europe, you can now download the new software update by heading to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it using the Odin tool on a Windows PC.

Samsung launched the Galaxy A33 5G in early 2022 with Android 12-based One UI 4 onboard. The smartphone received the Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update toward the end of 2022, while the One UI 5.1 update was released a few weeks ago to bring additional software features.
