Last week, Samsung released a software update to the Galaxy A24 that offered Android 15-based One UI 7.0 and the May 2025 security patch. However, the brand had offered it only to the variant of the smartphone it sells in South Korea (SM-A245N).
Well, the tech giant has now expanded the update to the variant of the Galaxy A24 that it sells mainly in African and Asian countries (SM-A245F). It is 3,404.47MB in size and carries version A245FXXU8DYE5, as you can see in the screenshot below.
Samsung’s Android 15-based One UI 7 brings many upgrades. First, you get a new user interface, which includes new icons, new UI elements in many places, and separate panels for notifications and quick settings toggles. Second, it brings smoother animations, making the device feel nicer to use. Third, you get many new features, including Live Notifications and Now Bar.
As for the May 2025 security patch, it fixes many security issues, which you can check out here. To get the latest software update on your Galaxy A24, go to Settings » Software update » Download and install. The other way to get the update is to download it from the internet on a Windows PC and then use the Odin software to install it manually on your smartphone.
