Samsung is expanding the One UI 8.0 (Android 16) update for the Galaxy A16 and the Galaxy M16 to more regions.

Samsung released the One UI 8.0 (Android 16) update to the Galaxy A16 and the Galaxy M16 last week (1, 2), which was much earlier than we expected. However, the brand had rolled it out only in its home country, South Korea. Well, the company is now offering the update internationally.
Samsung is rolling out the One UI 8 update to the Galaxy A16 and the Galaxy M16 in India. The update for the former has firmware version A166PXXU5CYI8, whereas that for the latter has firmware version M166PODM3CYI9 (via Mohammed Khatri and Samsung Community).
To update your Galaxy A16 and Galaxy M16 to One UI 8, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. One UI 8 isn’t as big an update as One UI 7. It brings only a handful of upgrades, but these changes make a significant impact on day-to-day life. Here’s what you get:
