Samsung continues to be one of the most prolific smartphone manufacturers, creating Galaxy devices across multiple price segments, from low-cost to premium and beyond. The 2024 lineup should consist of several phones sold at different prices. And as we wait for the Galaxy S24 flagship to appear officially at Unpacked, Samsung has just released its budget Galaxy A15 and Galaxy A25 duo into another market.

The Galaxy A15 and Galaxy A25 are now hitting the shelves in Thailand. They're the first low-cost Samsung phones to go on sale this year via Samsung Store, Shopee, and Lazada, and they bring a new design featuring a so-called “Key Island.” In short, Key Island is a bump around the side buttons on an otherwise flat frame.

In Thailand, both the Galaxy A15 and Galaxy A25 have 5G connectivity and 8GB of RAM. The A15 comes with 128 or 256GB of storage, while the A25 starts at 256GB. The A15 also comes in an LTE configuration.

The Galaxy A15 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6100+, and the Galaxy A25 features the Exynos 1280 SoC. The LTE-only Galaxy A15 sports the MediaTek Helio G99 chip.

Low cost phones with brighter screens

One of the best characteristics of these 2024 low-cost Galaxy phones is that they both feature 6.5-inch Super AMOLED 2340 x 1080 displays with decent brightness levels and Vision Booster technology. The Galaxy A15 has a 90Hz panel that can top 800 nits of brightness, and the Galaxy A25 goes up to 120Hz and 1,000 nits.

Furthermore, each phone has a 50MP primary camera on the back, but the Galaxy A25 benefits from more advanced features like PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus) and OIS (Optical Image Stabilization).

Likewise, each phone has a 13MP selfie camera and is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with 25W charging capabilities. The Galaxy A15 and A25 also feature side-mounted fingerprint scanners embedded in the Key Island's power button and run One UI 6.0.

Samsung says the Galaxy A15 5G with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage is available in Thailand for 7,999 baht ($228), while the 256GB model costs 8,999 baht ($256). The LTE-only Galaxy A15 is going on sale for 6,999 baht ($199). Meanwhile, the Galaxy A25 5G with 8GB + 256GB of memory starts at 10,999 baht ($313).
