The Galaxy A13 has just become the cheapest Galaxy smartphone to receive the May 2023 security update. Samsung's new security update has started rolling out in Latin American countries, and we expect the update to expand to more countries worldwide over the course of the next few weeks.

The May 2023 security update for the Galaxy A13 comes with firmware version A135U1UES3BWD2 in the US and A135MUBS3BWD2 in Colombia and Paraguay. The new security patch fixes over 70 security flaws found in Galaxy smartphones and tablets. No new features have been added with the new update

If you have a Galaxy A13 in any of the countries mentioned above, you can now download the new update on your device by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install. You can also download the new firmware file from our firmware database and flash it manually.

Samsung launched the Galaxy A13 in early 2022 with Android 12-based One UI 4 software out of the box. The smartphone received the Android 13 update later that year with the One UI Core 5 interface. It received the One UI 5.1 update a few months ago in some regions, while other regions are still getting access to the new version of One UI.
