Samsung has released a new security update to the Galaxy A13 5G. The carrier-locked and unlocked versions of the smartphone have finally started getting the April 2023 security update in the US.

The latest software update for the carrier-locked version of the Galaxy A13 5G bumps up the phone's firmware version to A136USQU4DWE1. It is available on Dish Wireless, Metro PCS, and T-Mobile networks. The unlocked version of the Galaxy A13 5G is getting the April 2023 security update with firmware version A136U1UEU3DWD7 that is available on all carrier networks across the US.

Galaxy A13 5G April 2023 security update: How to install?

The April 2023 security patch included in the new software update fixes dozens of security flaws found in Galaxy smartphones and tablets. The update might also include some other improvements, such as bug fixes and improved reliability. If you have a Galaxy A13 5G and live in the US, you can check for the new update on your device by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping Download and install.

If you can't wait for the OTA (Over The Air) update to arrive, you can try flashing the new firmware manually on your Galaxy A13 5G. You can do that by downloading the new firmware file from our firmware database and flashing it using a Windows PC and the Samsung Odin tool.
