Technically speaking, the Galaxy A03 Core should follow a quarterly release schedule for new updates, but the phone is now getting a new update for the second month in a row. In May, Samsung updated the Galaxy A03 Core with the March security patch. Now, a month later, Samsung is bringing the May 2023 security update to the device.

The May 2023 update for the Galaxy A03 Core (SM-A032F) is available in India and can be identified by firmware version A032FXXU3BWF1. The firmware number suggests the update contains more than a newer security patch, but the official changelog is not very detailed.

The new update, according to Samsung, improves stability and reliability, security, and “device behavior.” The latter suggests the update might optimize One UI performance for the Galaxy A03 Core, but it might refer to something else entirely.

For the moment, the May 2023 update is available for the Galaxy A03 Core in India, but Samsung should bring it to more markets in the coming days and weeks.

Galaxy A03 Core users can check for new updates from the Settings app on their phones by accessing “Software update” and tapping “Download and install.” Users who prefer manual updates through a Windows PC can download the official firmware files from our website.
