Facebook may be declining, but it still has billions of active users worldwide. Even Facebook Messenger has over a billion monthly active users. To improve engagement among those users, Meta is launching games inside Facebook Messenger that users can play during video calls.

This new feature was announced via a press release on Facebook Gaming's webpage. This new feature allows users to engage in conversations and play games simultaneously. When you start playing these games while being on a video call with the other person, the game covers most of the screen, while the videos of both users are switched to a minor portion of the screen toward the bottom or top.

    Facebook Messenger Games

The company has announced that 14 games are available on Facebook Messenger right now. Some games include Card Wars by Bombay Play, Exploding Kittens by Coatsink, Mini Golf FRVR by FRVR, and Words With Friends by Zynga. All these games support a different number of players, but most games can be played by two users. Facebook promises to bring more free games to the platform before the end of the year.

These games don't need to be installed and are available on Facebook Messenger on Android, iOS, and the web. You can soon access them on your Samsung smartphone or tablet. To access these games, start a video call on Messenger with your friend, tap the Group Mode button in the center, tap the Play icon, and browse the available games.
