On the stage, there were two Galaxy S23 Ultra units, and one of them was connected with a USB Type-C DisplayPort cable for video mirroring on the screen. This unit was in Cream, and it was being used by Zuckerberg, while the other one was in Phantom Black, and it was used as a reference phone. While interacting with one of Meta's AI avatars, Zuckerberg was using the Samsung Keyboard app to type things. On the stage, too, the giant screen displayed the Galaxy S23 Ultra's screen, featuring navigation buttons rather than gestures. Meta's Quest 3 mixed reality headset could compete with Samsung's upcoming XR headset

During the event, Meta showcased the Quest 3 mixed-reality headset featuring Qualcomm's Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 processor, 128GB storage, and a price tag of $499.99. It can turn into an AR headset or a VR headset, depending on the use case and application, but it can also blend those two environments for a more immersive experience.

The Quest 3 can be controlled using hand gestures, but a precision controller can be used for more accurate interaction. It has a 4K resolution for sharper visuals and a 40% slimmer form factor for improved comfort. It also features 40% louder audio, improved audio quality, and surround sound, letting you enjoy videos on a big virtual screen. It can also be used to play games natively, thanks to the faster processor. It is available for pre-order starting today, and it will compete with Samsung's upcoming XR headset, which also features a Qualcomm processor. It remains to be seen if Samsung's XR headset uses the same chip or a newer one.
