Samsung recently confirmed that its much awaited Project Moohan XR headset is going to be unveiled on October 21 during a virtual launch event. It's expected that the device will be released soon after its launch.

The company has shared some product safety warnings ahead of the launch. It's important to be mindful of them if you're thinking about buying the headset.

Samsung has set the minimum user age to 13 and above, highlighting concerns about fitment and eye safety for users younger than that. It's also warning users to be mindful about symptoms like dizziness and seizures that can be caused by flashing lights, particularly for users who have a history of epilepsy or other similar ailments.

Users should also note that since the headset has magnets and electromagnetic components, the potential for interference with medical devices like hearing aids, defibrillators, or pacemakers exists.

People who wear glasses should keep in mind that Samsung has said the headset is not to be worn with specs. It recommends against hard contact lenses as well since that may cause issues with eye tracking. Users should either opt for soft lenses or use the lens kit that Samsung will provide to adjust for vision.

All of this is pretty standard stuff for devices like headsets. These are just general warnings that are meant to cover a wide range of possibilities. The glasses thing, for example, is understandable because headsets aren't big enough to also accommodate a pair of glasses on your face.
