Google is rolling out the ChromeOS 110 update for Samsung and other Chromebooks bundled with many new features. One of the important user tweaks that ChromeOS 110 will bring to Chromebooks is ‘channel labels.' In other words, if you are on Beta, Dev, or Canary, ChromeOS will mention that with channel labels.

As per the official announcement, channel labels will appear at the bottom right corner of the screen. Moreover, each channel will have its own icon; blue Beta bug, green Dev <> symbols, and yellow Canary head. At the bottom right corner, ChromeOS 110 will show the channel label, followed by the version number and a shortcut for the feedback tool, which now lists Top Help Content.

ChromeOS 110 adds a feature to improve the Bluetooth headset and microphone audio quality

The Diagnostic app also now gets a ‘keyboard test' feature to let you know if every key on your keyboard works. There is a new cross-terminal command printscan_debug to debug printing and scanning issues. Google has also improved Autocomplete in Launcher Search, which will now autocomplete misspelled and mistyped queries, view cleared search results, and provide keyboard navigation support.

Another interesting feature that arrives with ChromeOS 110 is ‘Select-to-speak.' You can highlight a text, right-click on it and select ‘Listen to the selected text.' Previously, you had to select the feature from a separate browser tab. Now, select-to-speak automatically matches the language to pronounce the selected text correctly in that language.

Google has also worked towards improving the audio experience on ChromeOS devices. ChromeOS 110 brings a new machine-learning model to “reconstruct the high-frequency parts of the audio signal” from a low-bandwidth source to reduce distortion or muffled sound from it. Google calls the output Super Resolution Audio for any app.

ChromeOS 110 has started rolling out and will be available on all Chromebooks, including Samsung's, in the coming weeks.
