The Galaxy Watch Active 2 has been featured in a couple of new promotional videos titled “Notification” and “Running.” Unlike the previous promo videos featuring Roy Choi, the new ones are shorter and seem to be a part of an ongoing TV ad series. They focus exactly on what their titles suggest: notifications and fitness tracking.
The Notification video highlights the benefits of having live traffic updates sent directly to your wrist. The Running TV ad focuses more on the Galaxy Watch Active 2’s Running Coach feature. It monitors the user's health and offers audio instructions throughout workouts.

Numerous other Galaxy Watch Active 2 features may deserve a bit more time under the spotlight. The wearable has a so-called digital rotating Touch Bezel; it doubles as a remote camera controller and can offer real-time voice and text translation. Samsung could very easily follow-up with more short ads highlighting some of these features that make the smartwatch different and/or appealing.

The concept of wearables may also become more important for certain Samsung smartphone users because the Galaxy Note 10 series has abandoned the integrated heart rate sensor. It will likely be missing from the Galaxy S11 too, so it seems like Samsung’s S Health platform is becoming more reliant than ever before on the wearable segment. The Galaxy Watch Active 2 is the latest and greatest Samsung wrist wearable, carrying a starting price of $280 / 299 euro once it will hit the shelves next month.
