Unveiled today, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 represents one of the most significant upgrades for the foldable device. It's strikingly thin, has larger displays, and more than enough power than you'll ever need on a phone.
While some had hoped that Samsung would make improvements to the battery and charging speed, unfortunately, that hasn't happened.

Samsung has confirmed today that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 has a 4,400mAh battery. It supports 25W wired and 15W wireless charging. Like its predecessors, the device also has support for Wireless PowerShare.
Those figures will feel familiar as they're exactly the same as the outgoing Galaxy Z Fold 6. Even though the Galaxy Z Fold 7 looks and feels like a completely different device compared to the model it's replacing, no upgrade has been made in this department.
Nevertheless, the new foldable phone should deliver improved battery longevity, largely due to the more efficient chipset and internals, even if the gains are no where near what they could have been had Samsung equipped the device with a larger battery.
Faster wired charging would have been nice to have as well since it would enable users to juice up their devices that much faster. It would also be better for optics as some of the foldables from Chinese OEMs have faster charging, but it's not a big concern from Samsung as they don't compete with its device in key markets.
The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is available for pre-order starting today with the device set to be released on July 25.
