Samsung’s Galaxy Watches run Wear OS, which means you can use the native Gmail app to quickly check your emails. However, things become more complicated if you use a work account. Fortunately, Google has now made it easier to add work profiles to Wear OS devices, and this improvement will eventually make its way to Galaxy Watches.
Google has released (via Android Authority) Google Play Services version 26.26, and one of its most important improvements is the ability to add enterprise work profiles to Wear OS devices. Besides providing access to work emails, calendars, and contacts, it could also enable access to corporate credentials and secure notifications on Galaxy Watches running One UI Watch.
So, if your employer allows you to add your work profile to your personal devices, you’ll soon be able to access that information directly from your Galaxy Watch.
The Google Play Services update also speeds up in-app Google One purchases, improves the reliability of work profile setup on Galaxy phones, enhances the management of Google Location Sharing settings, and expands compatibility for supported Android-powered PCs. It also enables third-party developers to add Maps- and Utilities-related features to their apps.
