Samsung and Apple have long pushed each other to build better mobile devices, but in the laptop segment, Apple has clearly been ahead, particularly at the high end of the market.

With the brand-new Galaxy Book 6 Ultra, Samsung appears to have taken a closer look at why the MacBook Pro works so well. The result is Samsung’s most MacBook-like laptop yet, and it's not accidental.

Here are six ways the Galaxy Book 6 Ultra mirrors Apple’s approach.

A redesigned chassis with a centered touchpad for improved ergonomics.

A tenkeyless keyboard layout that prioritizes typing comfort.

Samsung’s first laptop with a haptic touchpad instead of mechanical clicks.

A six-speaker setup similar to the MacBook Pro’s audio hardware.

A new two-tone keyboard design reminiscent of Apple’s aesthetic.

A more refined overall fit and finish than previous Galaxy Book models.

Will these upgrades be enough for Samsung to close the gap with Apple? Time will tell. But these are all significant upgrades that place the Galaxy Book 6 Ultra in a new category from the previous Book 4 Ultra model.

Of course, the similarities end at hardware design. The Galaxy Book 6 Ultra runs Windows on Intel and Nvidia hardware, while Apple relies on its own M-series chips. These key differences continue to define the user experience on each platform.
