Samsung's new flagship phablet has been very well received in South Korea. According to the latest industry data, Galaxy Note 8 sales in South Korea are keeping up the solid momentum we saw right after the release. Samsung is selling around 10,000-20,000 units of the Galaxy Note 8 every single day in South Korea. It's currently the most popular handset on the market.

It's not surprising at all. The Galaxy Note lineup has a very loyal fan following. Moreover, the Galaxy Note 8 is the first new phablet in two years. The fact that it's a pretty great smartphone doesn't hurt as well.

Galaxy Note 8 Sales In South Korea

The Galaxy Note 8 was released by Samsung last month. It brought in over 850,000 pre-orders for the company. The figure was significantly higher than the 400,000 pre-orders for the ill-fated Galaxy Note 7 last year.

The latest data by ATLAS Research & Consulting shows that the 64GB Galaxy Note 8 offered by SK Telecom was the most sold smartphone in South Korea over the second week of October.

In this period, Galaxy Note 8 sales accounted for 28.3 percent of all smartphone sales in South Korea. Industry watchers presume that the figure is going to be higher when the 256GB model is thrown into the equation as well.

The Galaxy Note 8 sales figures have hovered around 10,000 throughout October. An official from a local carrier said that the figure is similar to that of the Galaxy S8, a handset that's already proven to be a hit for Samsung.
