So where did the Pentile Matrix go?

We al know Samsung is using their Pentile matrix screens in the most of their phones. They say it has to do with production that they can't mass produce RGB matrix Amoled screens in high resolutions. Well it seems that the new Note uses a new kind op pixel lay out. The 5.5 inch Super Amoled HD screen doesn't use the standard Pentile Matrix. Instead of that it uses a whole differnt lay out. As you can see from the pictures down below.

On this first picture you can see the standard Pentile pixel lay out next to the RGB metrix from the HTC One X. With PenTile displays there are only two subpixels per pixel, with twice as many green pixels than red and blue ones.

Here another close up from the Note II screen:

As you can see for the Note II screen you can see it's very different and it comes very close to the true RGB style matrix. So why is this?? We do not know we can only geuss. We think that Samsung has used their new way of making Amoled screens called Laser-Induced Thermal Imaging (LITI). Which has allowed for higher pixel densities, so that might be it, in the new Note II. Who knows …
