Samsung to provide 4x4 MIMO to telecommunication businesses in Q4 2016

Now that LTE is widespread in most of the developed markets, it's now time for the next phase of evolution. 4×4 MIMO technology doubles the download and upload speeds, and it can be applied to existing LTE networks. A gigabyte worth of data can be downloaded in just 8 seconds using this technology. Now, Samsung is ready to provide 4×4 MIMO base station software.

According to a recent report from ETNews, Samsung will start providing 4×4 MIMO base station software that also supports 3-Band CA to various mobile carriers in Q4 2016. 4×4 MIMO doubles the speed of processing data by increasing the transmitting and receiving antennas from two to four. Competition is set to increase between cellular carriers once 4×4 MIMO arrives in the market.
