Samsung's working on multiple entry-level and budget phones in various Galaxy smartphone lineups. The Galaxy M04 is one such device, information on which has leaked a couple of times before because of the device showing up on benchmarks and the Google Play developer console. Today, the possible Indian pricing of the device has been revealed.

Coming in at the very bottom rung of the budget ladder, the Galaxy M04 is unsurprisingly going to be rather affordable. While an exact price has not been revealed, the folks over at 91Mobiles have leaked a poster that says the device will cost less than Rs 10,000, or rather, Rs 8xxx, which could mean it could cost somewhere between 8,499-8,999 rupees ($103-$110).

A release date has not been mentioned yet, but the poster looks somewhat official, so a public announcement could be imminent.

As far as the hardware is concerned, expect not to be the least bit impressed by anything on offer here. The Galaxy M04 will have an HD+ screen of unknown size (although somewhere around 6.4-6.5-inch seems like a good bet) with a waterdrop notch, which is pretty common in this price range for Galaxy smartphones.

Powering all those pixels will be the MediaTek Helio G35 chipset. It includes four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 2.3GHz, four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.8GHz, and the PowerVR GE8320 GPU. Every previous sighting of the phone had it running on 3GB of RAM, but more RAM configurations might be available for purchase once the phone goes on sale (including virtual RAM courtesy of Samsung's RAM Plus feature).

The Galaxy M04 should come with two rear-facing cameras and a single front shooter. However, the megapixel counts are unknown at this time. We can also safely assume that there will be a 5,000 mAh battery powering all the hardware, but again, this has not been confirmed yet so we would recommend taking the info with a grain of salt.

Perhaps the most important thing about the Galaxy M04 is that it runs Android 12, even though Android 13 has been out for a few months now and Samsung has updated more than 40 existing devices to the newest version of the OS. Perhaps the software will be updated by the time the phone comes to market, though we wouldn't count on that considering this a full-on budget phone.

Speaking of markets, it remains to be seen how widely the Galaxy M04 will be available. We expect Samsung to focus advertising on the Indian subcontinent, although the phone could also come to some European countries.
