To expand its presence and localize the SmartThings experience, Samsung opened its first SmartThings Home in Dubai on October 6. The SmartThings Home in Dubai is the company's first Multi-Device Experience space in the Middle East. Spread across a 278-square meter space located on the first floor of the Dubai Butterfly Building. It is the same place where Samsung Middle East Headquarters is located.

Divided into four zones, i.e., Home Office, Living Room & Kitchen, Gaming and Contents Studio, visitors can explore fifteen SmartThings scenarios in this newly created space. Visitors can also experience the advantages of connecting SmartThings to various devices, ranging from mobile phones to home appliances and display products.

For local customers, there are exclusive zones such as Prayer Mode and Sandstorm Mode. These specialized scenarios have been developed for local customers by Samsung Electronics Middle East Headquarters and Samsung Research's Samsung R&D Institute in Jordan.

In the Sandstorm mode, customers can quickly tap one button on the SmartThings app to enable the smart blinds to block dust from outside and enjoy a clean indoor environment. Also, the indoor purifier begins its work, and the robotic vacuum cleaner starts cleaning up the space. In Prayer Mode, users will receive a notification on their smartwatch when it is time to pray.

The users simply need to turn on the Prayer Mode on the SmartThings app, which will activate the smart blinds, adjust the room lighting, and turn off the TV, creating an environment suitable for praying. In the Content Creation Studio, Gen Z can express themselves through social media and can control the various devices, lighting, and TVs, with just a touch of a button on the SmartThings app.
