While Samsung opened the One UI 9.0 (Android 17) beta program for devices as affordable as the Galaxy A07, it left out the Galaxy A26, disappointing many of its users. However, they can finally put that disappointment behind them, as the company has released the new software for the phone today.
Considering that the brand has released the update in the Philippines, it looks like the company has begun the global rollout. It carries firmware version A266BXXUCDZJ6 (via Mohammed Khatri). You can check its availability and get it by going to Settings > Software update > Check for updates.
While One UI 9.0 brings a ton of changes, which you can check out in our video below, a few noteworthy ones include more Quick Panel customization options, a location privacy indicator, and upgrades to Samsung DeX, Samsung Notes, and accessibility features.
Samsung launched the Galaxy A26 with One UI 7 (Android 15) and promised to offer it six major OS upgrades. This is the second major update for the phone, with One UI 8.0 being the first. The phone is eligible for One UI 9.5 as well as One UI 10.0 (Android 18).
