Samsung TV Plus is gradually building up its slate of original content. The free, ad-supported TV streaming platform today announced that it has greenlit Unlikely Families from Dhar Mann Studios as a new original series.
Unlikely Families is the second installment in the Unlikely anthology series created and produced by Dhar Mann Studios. It will be a four-part scripted series.
This new original series will join the other titles introduced by Samsung TV Plus under its Exclusives banner over the summer, including Unlikely Families, and Hooligans: The ARCH Racing Project.
Unlikely Families will have four separate story lines, one each per episode, about adults who take on caregiving roles under extraordinary conditions.
The series will showcase that family isn't always defined by biology. Rather, it's a function of who choose to show up for their fellow humans. Each episode will tell the story of an unconventional caregiver and child that have their destiny intertwined by fate, crisis, or responsibility.
Since the series has only just been greenlit, it will take some time for the episodes to become available on the platform. The company has announced today that the Unlikely Families anthology series will premiere exclusively on Samsung TV Plus in 2027.
