Samsung hikes Galaxy S26 series price in India

There’s some disappointing news for people in India who were planning to buy Samsung’s Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, or Galaxy S26 Ultra. The brand has increased the prices of the three smartphones in the country.

An image that looks like Samsung’s communication to its retailers in India about increasing the price of the Galaxy S26 series has surfaced online (via Abhishek Yadav). According to it, the prices have gone up by INR 15,000 to INR 25,000. Below are the variant-wise old and new prices.

Galaxy S26 price in India

12GB+256GB: INR 87,999 → INR 1,02,999 (price increased by 15,000)

12GB+512GB: INR 1,07,999 → INR 1,22,999 (price increased by 15,000)

Galaxy S26+ price in India

12GB+256GB: INR 1,19,999 → INR 1,34,999 (price increased by 15,000)

12GB+512GB: INR 1,39,999 → INR 1,54,999 (price increased by 15,000)

Galaxy S26 Ultra price in India

12GB+256GB: INR 1,39,999 → INR 1,54,999 (price increased by 15,000)

12GB+512GB: INR 1,59,999 → INR 1,74,999 (price increased by 15,000)

16GB+1TB: INR 1,89,999 → INR 2,14,999 (price increased by 25,000)

According to the leaked communication, the increased Galaxy S26 series prices go into effect on September 23, 2026, which is today. Samsung hasn’t said why it took this step. However, we assume that this is a direct result of rising memory chip prices.
