Today, Samsung released a new software update for multiple Galaxy phones and tablets, including the Galaxy A57 and the Galaxy M56. Both mid-range smartphones are receiving the latest security patch as part of this new release.

The update is now available for the Galaxy A57 in Europe, carrying firmware version A576BXXS5AZH3 with a download size of around 385MB. For the Galaxy M56, Samsung has rolled out the update in India. It comes with firmware version M566BXXS6CZH4 and has a download size of approximately 318MB.

The August 2026 security patch is included for both phones, fixing dozens of security vulnerabilities found in previous software versions.

If you own either of these two devices and reside in the regions mentioned above, you should check for the update right away. You can do this by opening the Settings app on your phone, navigating to Software update, and the tapping Check for updates button.
