Samsung's stick vacuums get a feature-packed firmware update

Things don't always go according to plan, but even so, Samsung's firmware support policy is one of the best in the industry. This applies not only to phones but also to other devices across its vast ecosystem.

Having said that, it's not that big of a surprise that Samsung's stick vacuum cleaners, or at least its latest Bespoke models, are getting a new firmware update. It brings one new feature and a handful of improvements to existing ones. Here's the full changelog.

During these hours, the Clean Station won't perform automatic disposal, but you can still dispose of the dust bin manually using the dedicated button.

We tried the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra stick vacuum after installing this update and can't say we noticed any significant difference in the Active Dual brush's response time. We'll have to test it further.

The Do Not Disturb addition is most welcome, though, especially since the Clean Station is rather noisy when it sucks the vacuum's dust bin contents. Being able to prevent the Clean Station from running during set quiet hours is a nice quality-of-life improvement.

Of course, these features work only with Samsung stick vacuum cleaners that ship with and support the Clean Station. The Clean Station is what makes SmartThings connectivity possible.

Samsung is selling the Active Dual Brush with the Bespoke AI Jet Ultra by default and as an optional attachment for the AI Jet Lite.
