Google has started rolling out another Google Play System update for Samsung smartphones and tablets. The update is just 12MB in size and, as is typical for this type of update, it doesn't include a changelog (via Tarun Vats).
Installing the update does not change the Google Play System update date, which remains July 1, 2026. This indicates that Google is likely rolling out backend improvements or minor bug fixes rather than a totally new one.
Like most Google Play System updates, this one is being released in phases. While some Galaxy users have already received it, it is still unavailable on our devices.
It is also worth pointing out that Google Play System updates remain paused for Galaxy S26 series devices running the beta version of One UI 9.0 (Android 17).
