TL;DR

  • Samsung says it will share details about One UI 9.0 Good Lock features once they are finalized.
  • The announcement suggests Good Lock modules will get new features with One UI 9.0, but Samsung has not said which ones or when.
  • One UI 9.0 is now stable on the latest foldables and should reach older Galaxy devices in the coming weeks.

Usually, whenever Samsung releases a new version of One UI, the brand updates Good Lock modules with new features. It looks like the same will happen with One UI 9.0 (Android 17).

On Samsung Community for Korea, the company said, “We plan to provide information regarding the One UI 9.0 Good Lock features via Terrace once everything has been finalized, so please keep this in mind when using the service.”

This statement strongly suggests that Samsung is preparing new features for Good Lock modules as part of its One UI 9.0 upgrades. Unfortunately, the tech giant hasn't revealed which modules will get new features, what those features will be, or when it will release those updates. Samsung says it will share those details through Terrace.

Samsung unveiled One UI 9.0 in May by launching its beta program for the Galaxy S26 series. A few days ago, the company released the stable version alongside its latest foldable smartphones. It is expected to begin rolling out the update to older Galaxy devices over the coming weeks.

In preparation for the rollout, Samsung has been updating its apps to ensure compatibility with One UI 9.0 while also refreshing their design to match the new interface.
