Samsung has finally unveiled the highly anticipated Galaxy Z Fold 8 today. This is the company's new wider foldable phone. If you're looking for the successor to the Galaxy Z Fold 7, that's been launched as the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.
The company has officially confirmed the Galaxy Z Fold 8 price today. It starts at $1,899 in the United States.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8's defining feature is its 4:3 aspect ratio 7.6-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. The wider aspect ratio is particularly good for content consumption. When rotated, the same display ratio also appears more natural for reading activities, enabling users to immerse themselves into long-form content, e-books, and more.
It has the same Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy chipset as the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. The device weighs just 201g which makes it Samsung's lightest Galaxy Z Fold phone yet.
Samsung is offering the Galaxy Z Fold 8 in three configurations. You get 12GB of RAM with both the 256GB and 512GB storage variants. There's 16GB of RAM on the 1TB storage variant.
Pricing starts at $1,899 in the United States for the 12GB + 256GB model. The 12GB + 512GB and 16GB + 1TB variants cost $2,099 and $2,499 respectively.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 prices in Europe are €1,999 for the 12GB + 256GB, €2,199 for the 12GB + 512GB, and €2,599 for the 16GB + 1TB models.
Samsung's newest foldable phone is available in Graphite, Cream, and Lavender colors. There's also an online-exclusive Pistachio color for the Galaxy Z Fold 8, which will only be sold through Samsung.com. The handset will be released on August 7, 2026.
