On Samsung smartphones, new updates for the Google Play System and Google Play Services are available. The update for the former is dated June 1, 2026, and that for the latter carries version 26.24.34.
Unfortunately, the American firm has not provided a changelog for either of them. We have received the updates on our Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S26 running One UI 8.5 and One UI 9.0, respectively, in India.
The size of the update for the Google Play System will vary depending on the device model and the One UI version. The one we received on our Galaxy S25 is 85MB in size, and the one we received on our Galaxy S26 is 1.6MB in size. To get it, go to Settings > Security and privacy > Updates > Google Play System updates.
As for the update for the Google Play Services, you can get it by going to Settings > Apps > Google Play Services > App details in store > Update. These updates usually pack bug fixes, performance improvements, security enhancements, and even new features. So, it's always a good idea to get them as soon as possible.
