Our pets are very near and dear to us, and we always want to make sure that they're taken care of. Soon, it will be possible to check up on their health using our Samsung phones.
The company has integrated a new solution that will enable you to keep an eye on a number of health conditions for your pet with just a photo.
Samsung talked about this new solution today at VivaTech 2026, which is Europe's largest startup and tech conference. The company set up a Connected Care Ecosystem Zone at the conference to demonstrate how its Galaxy devices and the Samsung Health platform deliver proactive wellness management.
The company said that it's introducing a new pet care solution that will allow users to monitor any potential health issues for their pets at home. This has been made possible through a collaboration with pet health management solution Lifet.
Users just need to take a photo with their Galaxy device which will then be analyzed with the help of artificial intelligence for any signs related to health issues like some dental problems, patellar luxation, and cataracts.
The SmartThings app and Pet Care service will need to be installed. Some features and the availability of services will vary depending on the country, device model, and region. The AI health analysis is conducted through Lifet by Elevenliter, and the company does point out that it's not a replacement for a professional veterinary diagnosis.
