Last week, Samsung released the One UI 8.5 update to several phones and tablets, including the Galaxy A34. However, the update was available for the phone only in South Korea. Now, the availability of the update has been expanded.
The One UI 8.5 update is now available for the Galaxy A34 in Europe. Several users have posted screenshots of their devices getting the update in European countries, including France and Spain, and in Asian countries (including the Philippines). The update comes bearing firmware version A346BXXUFFZE6 and has a download size of around 2.86GB.
Unfortunately, the update doesn't bring the latest June 2026 security patch. The phone is still using the May 2026 security patch, and that is the case with most Galaxy phones that have received the One UI 8.5 update in the past couple of weeks.
If you are a Galaxy A34 user and live in Asia or Europe, you can check for the new update by navigating to Settings > Software update and tapping Download and install. Once the update is downloaded, tap Install now to start the installation process.
Make sure your phone has at least 30% battery charge left before you start installing the update. The process takes a few minutes and involves a reboot. It could also make the phone a bit warm during the installation.
