After releasing the One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy A54 in South Korea last week, Samsung has started rolling it out to more countries worldwide. The update is currently available in select European countries and brings several new and improved features to the mid-range phone that was released three years ago.
The One UI 8.5 update is now available for the Galaxy A54 in select European countries with firmware version A546BXXUJFZE9. It has a download size of over 2.8GB and includes the May 2026 security patch to improve the phone's security.
If you are a Galaxy A54 user living in Europe, you should receive the update within the next few days. You can check for it by navigating to Settings > Software update and tapping Download and install. If the update is available, it will begin downloading. Once the update files have been downloaded completely, tap Install now.
Make sure the phone has at least 30% battery remaining before starting the installation process.
The Galaxy A54 now offers the ability to fully customize the Quick Panel. The phone also gets more downloadable wallpapers and additional lock screen clock font options. The lock screen clock now features an automatic layout that makes people, pets, and objects in the wallpaper more visible.
The Clock app now includes a built-in time zone converter and weather effects for alarm screens. The Device Care section offers more useful battery information. You can temporarily disable Auto Blocker and enable Theft Protection. Samsung Health now offers more layouts and designs for sharing workout statistics.
You can also set early alerts for reminders. The Weather app now includes an enhanced widget and the Pollen Index feature.
