Google recently introduced Gemini Intelligence for Android devices. It significantly improves Gemini's capabilities by bringing together data from a user's Google account across several products to proactively offer assistance.
The company has revealed the hardware requirements for Gemini Intelligence and they're quite significant. Unfortunately, this would mean that most Galaxy phones won't support the feature.
Google mentions on the Gemini Intelligence page that only devices with a flagship chip and at least 12GB of RAM will support this feature.
These devices must also have support for AI Core and Gemini Nano v3 or greater. Devices are required to have support for six years of security and five years of Android OS upgrades, though most Galaxy phones already meet at least this benchmark.
The chipset and RAM requirements rule out all Samsung phones other than its most capable flagships, so forget about enjoying the fruits of Gemini Intelligence on your Galaxy A phones. The Nano V3 requirement even rules out devices like the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z TriFold.
The only Samsung devices that currently meet the requirements are the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra.
Since Google did say that Gemini Intelligence will be available later this year on Pixel and Galaxy devices, it's safe to assume that the new foldables from Samsung will support it, and so will the Galaxy S27 series next year.
