Samsung launches three new smart home appliances with sleek designs

Samsung launched three new smart home appliances in South Korea today: the Bespoke AI Single 1-Door Fridge & Freezer, Bespoke AI Dishwasher, and Extractor Induction Hob. All three products are designed to integrate seamlessly into smart homes while offering intelligent performance.

The Bespoke AI Single 1-Door Fridge & Freezer offers flexible configurations. For example, two units can be paired and used either as a refrigerator or a freezer, depending on your needs. Each unit can also function independently as either a fridge or a freezer. The Auto Open Door feature allows the door to open with a single tap.

It features a built-in light sensor that automatically adjusts brightness, along with a flat front design without handles to blend seamlessly with surrounding cabinets.

The AI Precise Cooling feature, which can be controlled via the SmartThings app, automatically adjusts the defrost cycle to maintain a consistent internal temperature. It analyzes usage patterns and schedules defrosting during periods of low activity, such as at night. This helps reduce temperature fluctuations and maintain the freshness, taste, and texture of food.

Metal Cooling further improves temperature stability by retaining cold air more effectively and restoring the desired temperature quickly after the door is opened. It uses a full metal duct on the rear wall and door surface, unlike the partial metal ducts commonly found in standard refrigerators.

The Bespoke AI Dishwasher is available in multiple efficiency grades, including A-20%, A-10%, A, and B (in Europe). For models below A grade, Samsung uses an Active Fan Dry system to improve drying efficiency by enhancing internal air circulation and lowering rinse water temperature, which reduces energy consumption.

It is available in fully built-in, freestanding, semi built-in, and built-under designs, making it suitable for a wide range of kitchen layouts.

The AI Wash feature uses a turbidity sensor and machine learning algorithms to measure food residue at each stage of the cycle. It then automatically adjusts washing and rinsing times for optimal cleaning, eliminating the need for a pre-rinse cycle.

The dishwasher includes a third rack with dedicated zones for cutlery, drinkware, and utensils. The drinkware section can hold up to six cups and uses spinning nozzles for more effective cleaning, freeing up space in the lower racks.

The Extractor Induction Hob combines an induction cooktop and an extractor hood into a single appliance, making it ideal for open kitchens where installing a traditional hood can be challenging. Despite its all-in-one design, Samsung claims it delivers performance comparable to separate cooktops and hoods.

Its Flex Zone Plus design provides a large cooking area that can accommodate multiple pots and pans of different sizes. The system uses dense heating elements for even heat distribution and can automatically detect the size and shape of cookware to apply heat only where needed.

The Anti-Scratch Glass panel has a Mohs hardness rating of 8, offering strong resistance to scratches. It also features a superhydrophobic coating to reduce residue buildup and a matte finish for a cleaner appearance.

The extractor section offers suction power of up to 720 m³/h in Boost mode and achieves A+ energy efficiency while effectively removing odors, smoke, and steam.

Maintenance is simple, thanks to the Easy Clean Grease Filter, which is dishwasher-safe. The stainless steel filter captures up to 95% of grease and oil, while the integrated charcoal filter reduces odors and gases, ensuring consistent ventilation performance.
