Samsung has released a major update for its image editing app, Galaxy Enhance-X. This update introduces a significant redesign and several new features. The app now features three distinct tabs, replacing the old user interface that displayed all editing options on a single screen. This version also adds more plugins along with specialized document and video editing tools.

Let us take a closer look at these changes.

Galaxy Enhance-X app gets a new UI, plugins, and expanded editing features

Version 16.3.00.31 of Galaxy Enhance-X is now available on the Galaxy Store with a download size of approximately 173.5MB. This update is compatible only with devices running Android 16 and One UI 8.5. The new interface is organized into three tabs: Plugins, Home, and History.

The Plugins tab houses compatible add-ons for the app. Currently, three plugins are available:

  • CinematicGlow: This adds professional diffusion effects to images to create a gentle, dreamy aesthetic. It is particularly effective for portrait photography.
  • FilmStyle: This allows users to apply professional film effects. It includes nine unique filters inspired by classic cinema: Golden Hour, Gentle Portrait, Blanc, Classic, Pop, Vivid Journey, Cinematic Dawn, Timeless Chrome Amber, and Timeless Chrome Blue.
  • SkyGuide: This tool helps users discover and identify constellations, planets, stars, and other celestial bodies within their night sky photos.

Enhanced photo and document editing tools

The Home tab is where users can select photos or videos for editing. The Photo Tools section offers a variety of options, including Crop & Rotate, Fix Blur, Remove Shadows, Remove Haze, Denoise, Fix Lens Distortion, Remove Reflection, Fix Moire, Sharpen, Cinematic Glow, Brighten, HDR, and Colorize.

The Face editing tools include adjustments for Smoothness, Tone, Eyes, and Jawline.

Additionally, the latest version of Galaxy Enhance-X supports document editing. Users can now convert documents into JPEGs or PDFs. The app also allows you to enhance colors, apply filters, annotate, translate, and crop or rotate document scans. You can even convert PDF file into JPEG files for documents using this app.

Finally, the app now supports batch editing, allowing users to work on multiple photos and videos in a single session. The History tab organizes all past projects into Photos, Videos, and Documents sections. All edited files are saved in JPEG, MP4, or PDF formats.
