The service offers several helpful actions beyond just showing location. You can make your phone ring at full volume even if it's in silent mode, which helps when the device is nearby but hidden. The platform also lets you display a custom message on your phone's lock screen with your contact information, making it easier for someone to return your device if they find it.
For phones that are still powered on and connected to the internet, SmartThings Find provides real-time location updates. You can track movement and get precise coordinates. The service also works with Samsung's Galaxy ecosystem, so your Galaxy Watch or Galaxy Buds can help locate each other when connected to the same Samsung account.

The accuracy of your phone's last known location depends on when and how the device lost power, typically ranging from very precise (within 10-20 feet) to general area estimates (within several blocks), based on the available location services at shutdown.
When your Samsung phone has a strong GPS signal and Wi-Fi connection before dying, the last known location can be remarkably accurate.
