Samsung's new Bixby 4.0 assistant is reaching more Galaxy phone users through a Galaxy Store update. It’s no longer limited to the Galaxy S26 trio or the Galaxy A (2026) series.
Availability is gradually expanding to more devices and regions. The latest Bixby 4.0 version also recently appeared on select home appliances. More Galaxy phones are now catching up and adopting the smarter assistant.
The Bixby 4.0 update is mostly about better AI integration and features. On Galaxy phones, Bixby 4.0 brings major improvements to its natural language processing engine, making interactions smoother and more conversational.

To check your Bixby version, open the app, tap the cog icon, and go to “About Bixby.” Asking Bixby for its version might not work, though. We tried, and in doing so, we crashed the app (version 3.7.41.8).
You can try downloading the new Bixby 4.0 via the Galaxy Store, but again, availability depends on your region. If it’s not yet listed, you’ll need to wait a while longer for it to catch up.
