A recent teardown of the Galaxy S26 Ultra had revealed the ease of repairability for that device, with it scoring 9/10 on repairability. That's great for everyone who buys the top-of-the-line model, but what about customers who get the base model?

Those customers would be happy to know that the base model is similarly ranked for easy repairability, which is certainly another feature in the lineup's cap.

Repairability is a piece of cake, almost

The PBKreviews channel previously did a teardown of the Galaxy S26 Ultra and found that despite being thinner and utilizing more heat management methods, the device still scores a highly respectable 9/10 repairability score.

They've now performed a teardown of the base model, which is great to see, as such content is typically centered around the top-of-the-line models and you never really get enough context for all of the other models in the lineup.

The base Galaxy S26 also scored a respectable 9/10 on the repairability scale, making one of the few flagship phones that are among the easiest to repair. A lot of it has to do with how Samsung has laid out the internal components in a modular manner.

Moreover, Samsung has secured many of the components with screws instead of high strength glue, thus making it very easy to replace these components. Many of them can be replaced individually so you don't have to move a lot of pieces around to get to the one you really want.
