Samsung has officially confirmed that it will unveil its next high-end phones during the Galaxy Unpacked 2026 event on February 25. While the new devices are expected to bring multiple hardware and software upgrades, only one model in the Galaxy S26 series may receive a battery capacity increase.

The South Korean company is likely to launch three models: the Galaxy S26, the Galaxy S26+, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra. Among them, only the base Galaxy S26 is expected to feature a larger battery. It is rumored to use a 4,300mAh battery, which is a 300mAh increase over the Galaxy S25. The Galaxy S26+ is expected to keep a 4,900mAh battery similar to the Galaxy S25+, while the Galaxy S26 Ultra will reportedly retain its predecessor’s 5,000mAh battery.

Despite its slightly larger 6.3-inch display, the Galaxy S26 could offer longer battery life with the help of a more power-efficient chipset, a newer OLED panel material, and a higher battery capacity. However, its charging speeds are not expected to improve. Recent leaks suggest the phone will continue to support 25W wired charging and 15W wireless charging.

The Galaxy S26+ is expected to support 45W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. The Galaxy S26 Ultra could feature 60W wired charging and 25W wireless charging. None of the upcoming phones are expected to include built-in magnets for Qi2, which means meaning you will need a magnetic case to use Qi2 accessories.
