Samsung is rolling out an update to its NotiStar app for Galaxy smartphones, a Good Lock module that provides additional notification management features over the ones that One UI does. Carrying version 8.0.88.0, it brings three changes, comprising two bug fixes and one new feature (via Tarun Vats).
First, it improves the app’s freezing situation. Second, it prevents duplicate notification creation. Third, it adds “notification storage for work profile/dual messenger/secure folder.” All changes are applicable for Galaxy phones running on One UI 5 (Android 13) and newer versions of the OS, such as One UI 8.
From what we could gather, Samsung is rolling out the latest NotiStar update globally. To get it, on your Galaxy smartphone, open the Galaxy Store, tap the hamburger menu on the top-left corner of the screen, select Updates, and tap on the Update all button on the top-right corner of the display.
Speaking of Good Lock modules, recently, Samsung announced new features for many of them as a part of upgrading those apps for One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2). Those modules include LockStar, QuickStar, Home Up, Theme Park, and Game Booster+. It may also announce upgrades for NotiStar.
