Samsung Health is making a big change for younger users

Samsung has announced that it is discontinuing the Together feature in Samsung Health for users under the age of 18. This change, introduced in accordance with laws and regulations in various countries, will take effect with the new version of the Samsung Health app for Galaxy phones and tablets, which is scheduled to roll out later this month.

A new notice published in the Samsung Health app on Android devices states that Samsung will remove access to the Together feature for users under 18. All data associated with these users will also be deleted from Samsung’s servers.

The company is introducing this change to offer more privacy to non-adult Samsung Health users.

Users can check the current version of the Samsung Health app by opening it and navigating to Settings > Samsung Health information.

Together is a feature in Samsung Health that allows users to compete with friends or family members in walking or running challenges. Goals can be based on step counts or total distance covered, and users can create both individual and team challenges.

While the Together feature will no longer be available to users under 18, adults will continue to have access to it as a way to make fitness more engaging.
