One of Samsung’s Galaxy A series smartphones from 2024, the Galaxy A35, is getting a new software update. It offers the January 2026 security patch, which fixes 55 security issues present in the previous version of the OS, making the device safer than before.
Currently, Samsung is rolling out the update to the variant of the Galaxy A35 it sells in South Korea, which has the model number SM-A356N. The update has firmware version A356NKSS7CZA1. Samsung should release it in other countries in the next few days.
To check if Samsung has made the update available in your country, on your Galaxy A35, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install. We will soon make region-wise new firmware files for the phone available in our database. You can then download it from here and install it using Samsung's Odin tool on a Windows PC.
The Galaxy A35 will soon get a major software update, which will offer One UI 8.5 (Android 16 QPR2). The new software offers a redesigned user interface that looks more organised and modern than before. It is also more customisable. Along with a new UI design, it also brings many new features, which you can check out below.
