Samsung has confirmed that the Do Not Disturb (DND) mode is not working reliably on Galaxy Watches that are running the One UI 8 Watch software. The company says it is aware of the issue and plans to fix it through a future software update. Until then, Samsung has shared a temporary fix.
The issue occurs when users enable DND from the Quick Panel on a Galaxy Watch running One UI 8 Watch (based on Wear OS 6.0) and set the duration to ‘Until I turn it off.' In this scenario, the DND mode is not applied properly. Following an investigation, Samsung confirmed that the bug affects the Galaxy Watch 4, Galaxy Watch 5, Galaxy Watch 6, Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy Watch Ultra, and the Galaxy Watch 8 series.
Samsung says the problem will be resolved through an upcoming software update, though it has not shared a timeline for the rollout.
As a temporary solution, the company recommends enabling Do Not Disturb from the Settings app on the Galaxy Watch instead of using the Quick Panel. Alternatively, you can activate DND from your connected Galaxy smartphone, which activates the mode more reliably on the Galaxy Watch.
Samsung has not provided additional details about the update yet, but more information is expected to be shared in the near future.
