Samsung has released the January 2026 security update for its latest foldable flagships in more countries, following the initial rollout in Korea. The update is now available in parts of Europe and Asian markets like India and should be available to Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip users worldwide before the end of the week.
The new update doesn't offer anything except security fixes, which is standard fare for Samsung's monthly software updates. You will need to wait for the One UI 8.5 update for new features, though you should keep your expectations low as far as features specific to Samsung's foldable phones are concerned.
This is 2026's first software update for the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Flip 7; to download it, head into the phone's Settings > Software update menu and tap Download and install.
