The Freestyle+ is one of the many new products that Samsung unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show 2026 in Las Vegas this month.

This is the third iteration of Samsung's portable projector and the company has made some noticeable improvements. We went hands-on with the device at CES 2026.

Samsung pointed out that the Freestyle+ projects images that are twice as bright as its predecessor. That was quite evident at the product display. The 360-degree integrated speaker also delivered a commendable sound experience. It's also great to see that Gaming Hub brings support for leading cloud-based game streaming services, including Xbox Cloud.

Samsung has also made an interesting change to the material used to build the device. It doesn't have a hard plastic shell like its predecessors anymore, rather, it uses something similar to a silicon type plastic. This softer material should ideally help improve the drop protection for the device. Some new vents have been added to the side to help vent out heat.

As with any new product Samsung launches now, the Freestyle+ has also been given a healthy dose of AI. The AI OptiScreen feature adjusts the picture protection to suit any surface quite well. The new and improved Bixby, powered by LLMs, provides more context and better suggestions.
