The Exynos 2600 is the first 2nm chip manufactured by Samsung’s foundry division. Featuring Arm’s new CPU cores, Samsung’s new GPU, and Samsung Foundry’s latest fabrication process, SF2, the chip is expected to deliver significant gains in performance and efficiency. The South Korean firm has also reportedly improved the manufacturing yield of its 2nm chips.

A report from ZDNet Korea claims that both internal and external evaluations have revealed that Samsung Foundry’s 2nm yields have crossed the 50% mark. This is an improvement over the 37% yield reported in November 2025. Moreover, no critical defects have reportedly been observed during the mass production of the Exynos 2600. Mass production began in the last quarter of 2025.

After reviewing the Exynos 2600's performance, Samsung’s smartphone division (Samsung MX) decided to use the chip in the Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ in most countries worldwide. The Exynos 2600 is expected to account for around 25% of all Galaxy smartphone shipments. The Galaxy S26 Ultra will exclusively use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 For Galaxy chipset worldwide.

Samsung Foundry’s second-generation 2nm fabrication process, SF2P, is also nearing completion. The success of SF2P is widely considered crucial for Samsung Foundry, as the company is promoting it for advanced high-performance chips such as Tesla’s AI6 and Samsung’s own Exynos 2700, which could launch in 2027.
