The Samsung Food app has been updated to bring free calorie tracking for everyone. It means all those who use the app can now use its calorie tracking feature to take control of their diet and lead a healthier lifestyle. Earlier, the feature was limited to people with a paid subscription.

With the most recent update (2.51.0), every Samsung Food user can set their daily targets, including calorie, fibre, and macro intake. After you enable the feature, the app will ask you to connect to your Samsung Health account to track your workouts and check how many calories you burn every day. It then uses that data to offer you personalised recommendations for healthy meals and nutrition.

The app displays your daily calorie intake goal and offers meal plans for every day. The recommended plan includes breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner meals. You can add those meal plans to your calendar or swap those recommended meals with other options in the app's vast database.

You can install the latest version of Samsung Food on your phone or tablet from the Galaxy Store or the Google Play Store.

It offers meal recommendations and step-by-step ways to prepare those meals. You can also scan ingredients using the phone's camera and buy groceries straight from the app, cutting down on shopping time. Earlier, it was named Whisk, and Samsung acquired it in 2019 and renamed it to Samsung Food a couple of years ago.
